Placed third in the mile at the Wheaton Invitational with a time of 5:16.13. Finished fifth in the 3000m (10:12.95) at the Reebok Boston Indoor Games. Member of the 4x800m relay team which won the event at the Tufts Stampede, provisionally qualifying for the NCAA Division II Championships with a time of 12:18.86. Also took sixth in the individual 800m event in 2:25.65. Won two conference titles at the NE-10 Championships (4x800m relay, 9:48.43; 3000m run, 10:34.46) and was named NE-10 Freshman of the Year after winning the award for cross country during the fall.

High School:
2009 honors graduate of East Providence High School. Four-year letterwinner for coach Kevin Monagle. Four-year letterwinner for indoor and outdoor track for coach Bob Duarte, serving as captain junior and senior year. Holds indoor 600m record, 1000m record, 1500m record, 3000m record and 4x800m record. Holds outdoor 800m record, 1500m record, 3000m record and 4x800m record. Her cross country team was the first team All-State. State Champs for the indoor and outdoor 3000m. Holds Blackstone Invitational course record for cross country. Member of National Honor Society and R.I. Honor Society. Was ranked 5th in her graduating class.

Personal:
Born July 23, 1991, Providence, R.I. Daughter of Maureen and Robert Carmone of Riverside, R.I. Has two brothers, Ryan and Andrew (15). Majoring in psychology. Supports the New England Patriots. Also a member of the cross country team, where she was the 2009 Northeast-10 Women's Rookie of the Year, the USTFCCCA Division II East Region Athlete of the Year, and an NCAA Division II All-American.
