LOWELL, Mass. (May 17, 2010) – Two members of the Stonehill College women’s outdoor track and field team, ranked third in the East Region, concluded their 2010 seasons with strong performances at the New Balance Boston High Performance Twilight Invitational at the University of Massachusetts Lowell on Saturday night.

Freshman Olivia Dyson (Reading, Mass./Reading Memorial) placed second out of three competitors in the javelin with her throw of 130’11.6”. Dyson currently sits 33rd nationally for the event with her school-record distance of 131’4” at the New England Championships last weekend.

Sophomore Christen Carrier (Manchester, N.H./Manchester Central) placed sixth out of nine competitors in the 800-meter run with her time of 2:20.06, good for second among the three collegiate competitors in the event. She is ranked 38th nationally in the event with her school-record time of 2:14.35 set at the New England Championships.

Stonehill assistant coach Jen Harlow competed in the high jump in the open competition, clearing 5’6.5”.
