DeIngenis Narrowly Misses Second All-America Honor During National Championship Mile At 2007 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships

Senior Dana DeIngenis narrowly missed adding a second All-America honor to her already impressive resume on Saturday afternoon during the national championship mile race at the 2007 NCAA Division II Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Stonehill at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center in Boston, as she posted a personal best time of 4:55.80 in the event but just missed All-America honors by .65 seconds.

DeIngenis, a native of Cranston, R.I. and a graduate of St. Mary's Academy-Bay View, earned All-America honors in the outdoor 1,500 meters last May at the 2006 NCAA Division II Championships in Emporia, Kan. and helped guide the Skyhawk cross country squad to its sixth Northeast-10 Conference and NCAA Northeast Regional titles in seven years last October as well as a seventh straight trip to the NCAA National Championships.
