SMITHFIELD, R.I.-- Several individuals enjoyed outstanding performances for both Stonehill outdoor track and field teams in competition at the Bryant Invitational on Saturday afternoon, while three others shined at a pair of Division I events as well.

Senior Brandon Beloin (Danielson, Conn.) placed first in the men's 400 meter hurdles with a time of 54.80, while junior David Metzger (Ellington, Conn.) and freshman Josh Andrews (Chelmsford, Mass.) finished 1-2 in the 1,500 meters with times of 4:06.57 and 4:07.61, respectively. Sophomore Tyler Guilmette (East Longmeadow, Mass.) took top honors in both the long jump and triple jump with marks of 21 feet, 4 ? inches and 42 feet, ? inches, respectively, while freshman Joe D'Agostino (Canton, Mass.) took top honors in the high jump with a mark of 6 feet, 6 inches. Seniors Dana Burbank (North Andover, Mass.) and Derek Hebert (Rockland, Mass.) placed second in the 110 meter hurdles and long jump with marks of 15.73 and 20 feet, 8 inches, respectively, while junior Russ Miranda (West Warwick, R.I.) posted a second place finish in the hammer throw with a mark of 153 feet, 6 inches. The quartet of Beloin, Burbank, Hebert and junior Thomas Woods (Medfield, Mass.) also captured top honors in the 4 X 400 meter relay in a time of 3:23.82.

On the women's side, freshman Meghan Rocha (Nashua, N.H.) took first place in the discus with a mark of 119 feet, 1 inch and set a school record in the hammer throw with a third place performance of 127 feet. Senior Dana DeIngenis (Cranston, R.I.) placed first in the 800 meters with a time of 2:20.68 for the Skyhawks, while sophomore Jenny Gardynski (Everett, Mass.) was second in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:59.97. Freshman Anna Kern (Attleboro, Mass.) posted a pair of second place performances in the 100 meter hurdles (16.33) and long jump (15 feet, 9 inches), respectively, for Stonehill.

Sophomore Torrey Price (Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.) set a school record in the 100 meters with a time of 10.62 in his preliminary heat at the Division I University of Texas Clyde Littlefield Relays in Austin, Tex., as he provisionally qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships and finished third in the championship heat of the event with a time of 11.06. Seniors Joe Ryan (Chelmsford, Mass.) and Kelly Chaisson (Walpole, Mass.) also competed at the Princeton Sam Howell Invitational in Princeton, N.J. in the 10,000 meters, as Ryan was 24th on the men's side with a time of 32:03.32 and Chaisson was eighth in the women's event with a time of 38:37.63.

Both Stonehill squads will compete at the UMass Lowell George Davis Invitational next Saturday morning in Lowell, Mass. beginning at 10:00 a.m.
