Women's Tennis Signs Two to NLI's

EASTON, Mass. (December 20, 2018) - Stonehill College women's tennis head coach Marc Maloney has announced that the program has signed two student-athletes to National Letters of Intent and will join the Northeast-10 Conference Champions for the Fall 2019.

Maloney has signed Steffi Antao, a native of New Hyde Park, New York, and product of New Hyde Park Memorial High School, along with Cristina Solorzano Valencia, from Morelia, Mexico, who is attending Weil Preparatory Academy in Ojai, California, to National Letters of Intent. They will attend Stonehill starting in the Fall 2019 and compete on the women't tennis program.

Fun Facts: Father Saby Antao played professional soccer. Finished 4th place in Nassau County in 2016, 2nd place in 2017, and 4th place in 2018. Named after tennis great Steffi Graf.

Why did you chose Stonehill: Because of their amazing program of chemical engineering and their facilities. 
Fun Facts: Has also trained at Evert Academy in Boca Raton, FL. Older brother Carlos is a sophomore tennis player for the Ouachita Baptist Men's Tennis team in Arkansas.

Stonehill (13-1, 11-0 NE10) is ranked No. 42 in the most recent Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division II national rankings, captured both the NE10 regular season and tournament titles this fall. The Skyhawks have won their last 24 NE10 regular season dual matches, capturing its third-straight regular season crown this fall. The Skyhawks claimed their sixth tournament championship with a 4-0 win over Merrimack College on October 28.
