Freshman Carolina Alvarez (Orlando, Florida/Freedom) led Stonehill to the semifinal win this afternoon by claiming victories at No. 3 singles and doubles. Her 6-2, 6-0 singles triumph against Bentley freshman Tiffany Suchanek (Waterville, Maine/Waterville) provided the deciding fifth point for the Skyhawks, sending the team through to the NE-10 final for the 11th time under the dual match tournament format started in 1999. Alvarez and freshman Annelise Howick (Jacksonville, Florida/Creekside) helped Stonehill sweep the three doubles matches with their 8-5 decision at No. 3.

Junior Victoria Barbetta (Wesley Chapel, Florida/Saddlebrook Prep) and freshman Alexandra Vo (Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania/Nazareth Academy) set the tone for Stonehill's doubles sweep with their 8-1 victory at No. 1. Junior Emma Prinos (Foxboro, Massachusetts/Foxboro) and sophomore Nicole Downey (Groveland, Massachusetts/Pentucket Regional) battled through a back and forth match at No. 2 doubles for an 8-6 win to complete the sweep.
