O'Donnell earns pair of first team All-Conference awards and All-Rookie selection
Lawrence also collects All-NE-10 accolades for singles and doubles 

EASTON, Mass. (October 30, 2014) – The Northeast-10 Conference champion Stonehill College women's tennis team has received five All-Northeast-10 accolades and placed three freshmen on the NE-10's All-Rookie team for their performances during the fall Conference season.

Freshman Colleen O'Donnell (Waterville, Maine/Waterville) headlines Stonehill's All-Northeast-10 Conference performances with a pair of first team honors in her first collegiate season. O'Donnell, who also earned a spot on the NE-10 All-Rookie team, collected first team honors at No. 6 singles as well as No. 3 doubles with senior co-captain Meryl Lawrence (North Scituate, Rhode Island/Mount Saint Charles Academy). O'Donnell is a combined 25-0 so far in her first collegiate season, posting an 11-0 singles mark, including a 9-0 clip in NE-10 matches. She was named to the NE-10 All-Championship team following the Skyhawks championship performance on Sunday and earned the deciding point in their 5-4 semifinal win at second-seeded Southern New Hampshire University.

O'Donnell and Lawrence posted a 13-0 doubles record this fall, including a 10-0 mark in NE-10 play. Lawrence also earned All-Conference honors with second team honors at No. 5 singles. She is a combined 25-1 in singles and doubles play this season, posting an 11-1 singles mark, including 9-1 in NE-10 matches.

Lawrence, who has now collected five All-Northeast-10 honors over her career with four singles awards and her first doubles honor this fall, is a combined 121-34 (.781) in singles and doubles play over her career at Stonehill, including an 86-7 (.925) record in NE-10 matches. She earned third team All-NE-10 singles honors at No. 3 singles as a sophomore and junior after collecting first team honors at No. 6 singles as well as All-Rookie team honors as a freshman. Lawrence was named to the NE-10 All-Championship team as a sophomore and been named to the NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll multiple semesters.

Freshman Emma Prinos (Foxboro, Massachusetts/Foxboro) joins O'Donnell and Lawrence by collecting All-Northeast-10 honors for both singles and doubles. She and junior Analise Kump (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth) earned second team honors at No. 2 doubles after combining for a 6-1 record this fall. It marks the third All-Conference performance for Kump who earned first team honors at No. 4 singles last spring and second team accolades at No. 3 doubles with classmate Bailey Paradiso (Birmingham, Michigan/Marian) their freshman year. Kump has been named to the NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll and Athletic Director's Honor Roll all four semesters and also earned NE-10 Academic All-Conference honors as a sophomore.

Prinos earned third team honors at No. 3 singles as well as a spot on the NE-10 All-Rookie Team and is a combined 21-11 in singles and doubles play in her first collegiate season, posting a 10-4 singles record, including 10-2 in NE-10 matches.

Freshman Victoria Barbetta (Wesley Chapel, Florida/Saddlebrook Prep) rounds out the NE-10 honorees for Stonehill by earning a spot on the All-Rookie Team. She has posted a combined 26-6 in singles and doubles play in her first collegiate season, posting a 13-2 singles mark, including 10-2 in NE-10 matches. Barbetta earned All-Championship team honors over the weekend and has posted a 13-4 doubles record this fall with three different playing partners, including an overall 9-3 doubles record in NE-10 play.

Stonehill, which captured its fifth NE-10 Championship with its 5-3 triumph over Merrimack College on Sunday, finished its fall season with a 13-2 record overall, including a 10-2 mark in the NE-10 to enter the Conference tournament as the No. 3 seed. The Skyhawks are also ranked ninth in the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division II East Regional rankings. Stonehill, which has earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament next May with its NE-10 title win, will release its spring schedule over the winter.
