EASTON, Mass. (October 28, 2014) – Stonehill College junior Analise Kump (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week for women's tennis for her efforts in leading the Skyhawks to the NE-10 Championship last week.

Kump, who is named NE-10 Player of the Week for the second time in her career, earned Tournament MVP honors after leading Stonehill to its fifth Northeast-10 championship in program history last week. She posted a combined 4-2 record for the week at No. 2 singles and doubles and her 6-3, 6-3 victory against Merrimack College senior Shakee Messina was the clinching point for the Skyhawks in Sunday's championship match. Kump and freshman Victoria Barbetta (Wesley Chapel, Florida/Saddlebrook Prep) combined for a 3-0 doubles record, earning important wins in Friday's semifinal victory at Southern New Hampshire University and Sunday's title match that provided Stonehill with key 2-1 edges after doubles play.

Kump was joined on the All-Championship team following Sunday's 5-3 win over Merrimack in the title match by Barbetta and freshman Colleen O'Donnell (Waterville, Maine/Waterville). Barbetta was a combined 6-0 over Stonehill's three NE-10 Tournament wins, posting a 3-0 mark at No. 4 singles for the Skyhawks to go with her three doubles wins with Kump. O'Donnell was a combined 5-0 at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles over Stonehill's three tournament wins. She won both her singles matches, with her 6-2, 0-6, 6-2 triumph against Lindsay Baum providing the deciding point in the Skyhawks 5-4 semifinal win at Southern N.H. O'Donnell also paired with senior Meryl Lawrence (North Scituate, Rhode Island/Mount Saint Charles Academy) for three doubles wins.

Stonehill ,which earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament next May with its NE-10 Championship win, wrapped up its fall schedule with a 13-2 record overall, including a 10-2 mark in the NE-10. The Skyhawks are ranked ninth in the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division II East Regional rankings, and will announce their spring schedule over the winter.
