EASTON, Mass. (March 18, 2014) – Stonehill College sophomore Analise Kump (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week for women's tennis, the league office announced today.

Kump earns Player of the Week honors for the first time in her career after leading Stonehill to a 3-1 week to conclude its annual spring break trip to Central Florida. She is the third Skyhawk to receive Player of the Week honors from the NE-10 this year, joining senior Kaitlyn Martin (Mattapoisett, Mass./Medway) who collected the honors on September 24, and sophomore Bailey Paradiso (Birmingham, Mich./Marian) who earned the honors on October 16.

Kump was a combined 5-3 in singles and doubles play over Stonehill's four matches last week, posting a 3-1 mark at No. 4 singles while also teaming up with Martin to split their four matches at No. 2 doubles for the week. Kump was a double-winner in the Skyhawks victories over Minnesota State University-Mankato and Aquinas (Mich.) College. She registered an 8-1 pro-set win over Minnesota State's Alexis Haakedahl after she and Martin posted an 8-5 doubles win in the 7-2 team win. Kump added a 6-2, 6-2 decision over Marjeanne Bothma of Aquinas after teaming up with Martin for an 8-0 doubles sweep in a 5-4 Stonehill victory. She also chipped in with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Kelly Jachymowski in the Skyhawks' 6-3 win over Upper Iowa University to close out the spring break trip.

Kump has posted a combined 22-8 record in singles and doubles play during her second collegiate season. She is 13-3 overall for singles, posting an 11-2 record in dual matches, including a 5-0 record in the NE-10, going 4-0 at No. 3 and 7-2 at No. 4 singles. Kump is a combined 9-5 with two different doubles partners, including a 3-2 mark with Martin. She has also gone 6-3 as a teammate of junior Meryl Lawrence (North Scituate, Mass./Mount Saint Charles Academy).

Kump, a second team All-Northeast-10 performer at No. 3 doubles with Paradiso their freshman season, has posted a combined 62-18 (.775) career record in singles and doubles play over her two seasons at Stonehill. Kump has posted a 28-9 mark over her two years for singles, including a 13-0 record in NE-10 play, to go with a combined 34-9 (.791) doubles record, including a 16-1 doubles clip over her two years.
