Matt Walker joined the Stonehill women's soccer program as an assistant coach in August 2017.

Walker is a 2009 graduate of the University of Wales in Cardiff (now Cardiff Metropolitan University), where he earned a degree in sports management and coaching science, while also acting as the head coach of the boys U12 soccer team at Cardiff City Academy.

Currently, Walker oversees player development for the New England Revolution for the pre-academy age groups in conjunction with being a senior lead coach in the Elite programs.

Prior to working with the Revolution, Walker took the position of Director of Coaching for GPS South coaching a girls U13 (03/02) and U15 (01/00) team who were both top-10 teams in the region during his tenure. Walker also was in charge of all player and coach development during a three-year span.

Between 2011-12, Walker completed his UEFA B coaching certificate and FA Youth Models whilst working with Barnet FC, a professional club in London. He was a head coach in the academy for the BU12 team playing up against the top academies in the UK, including Arsenal, Tottenham, Millwall, and Charlton.
