Women’s Soccer Welcomes Eight to Class of 2023

Eight student-athletes to join women's soccer program

EASTON, Mass. (June 19, 2019) – The Stonehill College women's soccer team and head coach Alex Wilson '08 are pleased to announce the eight incoming student-athletes for the class of 2023.

Among them include five from Massachusetts, one from New York, one from Maine, one from Rhode Island.

"Coming off a strong 2018 campaign, we're eager to get the squad together in August to continue working towards our vision and goals for 2019," stated Wilson. "As a whole, I think this incoming class has a lot of grit and a real push to compete."

Women's soccer saw six seniors wrap up their four years at Stonehill with graduation in late May, including one goalkeeper, two midfielders, two defenders, and one forward.

Stonehill finished third in NE10 play with a 10-4 record, while concluding post season play with a 13-7 overall record. This season was another one for the record books as the 2019 team received their second NCAA Division II Tournament bid in three years. This was also the second appearance in three years in the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament. The Skyhawks recorded eight shutouts, which is tied for fifth all-time and in the month of October, the 2018 squad went on a seven-win run, its longest since 1999.
