EASTON, Mass. (December 14, 2017)- Stonehill College women's soccer team midfielder senior Taylor Shannahan (Mendham, New Jersey/Morris Catholic) and junior Courtney Campo (Quincy, Massachusetts/North Quincy) were named to the New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) All-New England second team, as released by the organization on Wednesday.
Shannahan was a key component in this years' lineup, as she started in all 18 games and helped the team average 1.56 goals per game directing the ball throughout the field. The senior captain tallied one assist this year in a 2-0 victory over Saint Michael's College in October, as Madalyn Fernbach (Plainview, New York/Plainview JFK) registered her first tally of the season.
As a junior, Shannahan started in 20 out of the 22 contests she appeared in and recorded one goal and three assists, as she helped the team to its third Northeast-10 Conference Championship in program history, and first since 1995. She was also a key player in an effort to the program's first appearance in the NCAA Tournament. To kick off the historic season, the Skyhawks won their first Catholic Cup Championship and Shannahan was named to the Catholic Cup All-Tournament Team.
In her sophomore year, Shannahan appeared in 18 games, starting in 16 of them and registering one goal and two assists. She tallied her second game-winning goal against Molloy College, defeating the Lions, 3-0.
During her freshman campaign Shannahan made a strong impact on the Skyhawks, starting in seven of the 15 games played and scoring twice as a rookie. One of her two goals, included her first-career game-winning goal against Molloy College, where Stonehill was victorious 6-0. She was tabbed on the NE10 All-Rookie Team during her first season, joining the list of now five other Skyhawks.
The Mendham, New Jersey native has been named to the NE10 Commissioner's Honor Roll for three years at Stonehill and was a 2014 graduate of Morris Catholic High School, where she played lacrosse and soccer.

Campo started and appeared in 17 games this season, combining for a career-best seven points, including three goals and one assist. The junior also registered her second-career game-winning goal during the 2017 season during the Skyhawks first shutout in 5-0 victory over Nyack College. Against the Warriors, she also registered her first four-point game, with two goals out of her three shots taken.
Last season, as a sophomore, she was named to the NE10 All-Conference third team for her first NE10 honor and received the Division II ADA Academic Achievement Award. During the championship season, Campo chipped in her first-career tally and first game-winning goal in a 2-0 win over the College of Saint Rose for the Skyhawks' ninth shutout out of 10 for the season. She also notched two assists, with one being in a close 4-3 win over No. 5 Adelphi University and the other versus Merrimack College in a 3-2 triumph.
During Campo's freshman season, she tallied her first-collegiate assist, as she started in seven of the 18 games she appeared in. The point came late in the season, in a 4-1 loss to American International College.
Campo has been named to the NE10 Commissioner's Honor Roll for two seasons and was a 2015 graduate of North Quincy High School where she played soccer.
Stonehill concluded the season with a 7-11-0 overall mark and a 5-9-0 NE10 Conference record. The Skyhawks finished 10th in the conference out of 15 teams.
