EASTON, Mass. (October 15, 2016) – The No. 7 Stonehill women's soccer team fell to Pace University, 1-0, Saturday afternoon on Skyhawk Field.

Stonehill's (11-3-1, 7-3-1 NE-10) senior goalkeeper Jamie Block (Georgetown, Mass./Georgetown) recorded four saves.

Pace's (8-4-2, 5-4-2 NE-10) Delany Williams tallied the lone goal, as Robyn Seward registered the helper in the victory.

Stonehill came out pressuring Pace, as it was able to get off four shots before the Setters found themselves at an advantage in the 23rd minute. Seward sent a cross to Williams, who sent the ball past Block to the left back post, putting the Setters up 1-0 in the first half.

With many more opportunities before the end of the first, Stonehill was stopped by Pace's goalkeeper Hayley Pascoal as she tallied three saves.

The second half remained scoreless for the teams, as both goalkeepers saved the ball four times each. Pace held a slight shot advantage at the close of the game, 15-13, and saw the only corner kicks of the game, recording four.

Stonehill is back in action on Tuesday, October 18 when it travels to Southern Connecticut University for a 7 p.m. Northeast-10 contest.
