NE-10 Soccer Weekly Report

EASTON, Mass. (September 13, 2016) – Stonehill College women's soccer senior Jamie Block (Georgetown, Mass./Georgetown) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference's Goalkeeper of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

Block assisted the Skyhawks in two shutout contests last week, leading them to a perfect 4-0 start in 2016. In the two matches, Block recorded six saves and added an assist to her list of stats. In Stonehill's game against Molloy, Block sent the ball past midfield which found the feet of Nicole Geraghty (Bridgewater, Mass./Bridgewater-Raynham Regional) who maneuvered past the defenders to find the back of the net for the game-winning goal on Thursday, September 8.

Stonehill (4-0, 0-0 NE-10) has now shutout three of its four opponents, including No. 20 LIU Post. The Skyhawks travel to Franklin Pierce University on Wednesday, September 14 for its first Northeast-10 Conference contest with a kickoff at 7 pm.
