EASTON, Mass. (September 10, 2016) – The Stonehill women's soccer team secured its third-straight clean sweep against No. 20 LIU Post, 1-0, Saturday afternoon at Skyhawk Field.

Stonehill (4-0) senior Lydia Beiter (Newtown, Conn./Newtown) recorded her first-career goal in the Skyhawk's fourth-straight victory. Senior goalkeeper Jamie Block (Georgetown, Mass./Georgetown) totaled four saves on the afternoon.

The No. 20 LIU Post (2-0-1) tallied four shots on goal, while goalkeeper Hillevi Eklow registered three saves on the four shots on goal by the Skyhawks.

With the two teams battling neck and neck, Stonehill had an open opportunity at the 36th minute when Brianna Duserick (Canton, Mass./Canton) sent a pass to Beiter, who found the left side of the net after miscommunication by the Pioneers.

The rest of the game remained scoreless as the Skyhawks could not capitalize on its three shots in the second half, as the Pioneers only registered one shot over the final 45-minutes.

Stonehill begins Northeast-10 Conference play as it travels to Franklin Pierce University on Wednesday, September 14 for a 7 p.m. match.
