Nagle Selected To NSCAA All-East Region Team

Manchester, Conn. native earns regional honor for first time in her career

EASTON, Mass. (December 10, 2011) – Stonehill College junior back Sara Nagle (Manchester, Conn./Manchester) has been selected to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division II All-East Region second team for the first time in her career.

Nagle, a NE-10 All-Conference first team selection this fall, led the Skyhawks back line to 10 shutouts this season, the best goals against average (GAA) in NE-10 play at 0.58 and the third-best GAA overall in the NE-10 at 0.68. Nagle has played and started in every game of her career at Stonehill.

Nagle collects her fourth regional honor of the season after earning her second selection to the New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) second team in as many years, a first-time selection to the Daktronics All-East Region second team and a CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District second team selection, all last month.

The Skyhawks (11-7-2, 8-5-2 NE-10) reached the NE-10 Tournament semifinal round for the eighth time in program history and first since 1999 before falling to the eventual NE-10 Tournament champion and NCAA Division II national champion the College of Saint Rose, 2-0, in the NE-10 semifinals.
