St. Martin Named to Daktronics All-East Region Team

Providence, R.I. native ranks second all-time at Stonehill in scoring

EASTON, Mass. (November 16, 2010) – Stonehill College senior Kirstie St. Martin (Providence, R.I./ Mount Saint Charles Academy) has been selected to the Daktronics All-East Region women's soccer second team, as determined by a vote of sports information directors in the East Region.

St. Martin is a first-time honoree after recording career highs of 15 goals and seven assists for 37 points this season, ranking second in the Northeast-10 Conference in scoring. She posted four multi-goal games, including one hat trick, and five games with four or more points to lead the Skyhawk offense and earn her second consecutive selection to the All-Conference first team, and earlier this month was named to the ESPN Academic All-District I third team.

In her top scoring performance of the year, she netted a hat trick and added an assist for seven points in a 5-1 win over Southern New Hampshire University on September 7, beginning a six-game scoring streak in which she totaled nine goals. She scored both goals, including the 89th-minute game-winner, against Saint Michael's College on September 10, and put up two goals and an assist for five points at Bentley on October 5.

St. Martin concludes her Stonehill career with a total of 40 goals and 18 assists for 98 points, and ranks second in program history in career goals and career points.

Stonehill posted an overall record of 8-8-2 this season to finish tenth in the NE-10 standings.
