Boxscore

Easton, Mass. - Skyhawk forwards Lauren Boyd (Sandwich, Mass.), Erin Bazinet (Charlton, Mass.) and Kirstie St. Martin (Lincoln, R.I.) each contributed a goal in Stonehill's 3-0 over the Southern New Hampshire Penmen.  The women's third straight win moves them to 6-4-2 overall, 6-2-2 in NE-10.

Stonehill's offense dominated for 90 straight minutes.  The Skyhawks racked up 18 shots in the first half, including six shots on goal.  Once again, Boyd got the ball moving; blasting home a goal from a Hilary Eckhardt (Marshfield, Mass.) throw-in.

The goal was Boyd's ninth of the season.  She currently leads the Skyhawks in scoring, shots, and points.  Coming into the game, Boyd was tied for seventh in points in the NE-10; five goals behind Gabriela Demoner (13) of Franklin Pierce for the Conference's top spot.

The Penmen quickly found themselves trailing 2-0. Stonehill's aggressive attacks and flawless execution created more scoring opportunities in front of the net.  Hilary Eckhardt had an impressive day both offensively and defensively; earning a throw-in assist on Bazinet's fourth goal of the year.  The score came with eight minutes remaining in the half.

The women did not back off in the second half.  Players, such as St. Martin, Michele Norton (Abington, Mass.) and Sabrina Cataldo (Saugus, Mass.), gave the Skyhawks momentum as the clock wound down.  Midway through the half, St. Martin banged home her fourth goal of the season on a break away up the middle of the field.  She is currently tied for second in team scoring with Bazinet.

After starting the season 1-3, the women have bounced back; going 5-1-2 since September 15th.  Next Saturday the Skyhawks will face another challenge, a NE-10 match up at Pace University.  The game is scheduled for 3:00pm
