Lauren Boyd receives All-Region honors for the second consectuive season.

Easton, Mass. - It was announced earlier today that senior Lauren Boyd (Sandwich, Mass.) was named to the 2007 Division II  Daktronics All-Region Women's Soccer Second team.  This is the second straight year Boyd has received All-Region honors.

Her impressive season has come with many accolades.  In mid-October Boyd was one of four Stonehill players named to the Academic All-Conference team.  She followed that up by earning CoSIDA Academic All-District honors.  Earlier this week Boyd was named to the Northeast-10 All-Conference First team for the second consecutive year.   

In addition to her end of season acknowledgements, Boyd was named Co-Northeast-10 Player of the Week on 10/9 for scoring three goals in two games and was named to the NE-10 Weekly honor roll three times. 

Boyd had another stellar season, leading a young offense to the highest point in school history. Her 11 goals scored ranked fourth in the NE-10.    In 59 career starts, she netted 39 goals, including three straight 10+ goal seasons. 

Lauren, a criminology and sociology major, will graduate in the spring of 2008.
