EASTON, Mass.-- Junior Lauren Boyd's (Sandwich, Mass.) team-leading 11th goal of the season in the 32nd minute of play held up as the game-winner in leading Stonehill to a 1-0 Northeast-10 Conference women's soccer victory over Pace Saturday afternoon at Skyhawk Field.

Boyd converted a corner kick from freshman Kelly Regan (Mansfield, Mass.) on the lone tally of the day to give the host Skyhawks (6-3-4, 5-3-4 Northeast-10) the triumph, as junior Alex Eckhardt (Marshfield, Mass.) picked up her 11th career shutout with a pair of saves in goal for Stonehill, which has posted shutouts in its last four matches as part of a four-match unbeaten (3-0-1) streak. The win lifts the Skyhawks into sixth place in the conference standings, as Stonehill is one point ahead of both LeMoyne and Saint Anselm.

Senior Jocelyne Durando (Monroe, N.Y.) made seven stops in net for the visiting Setters (7-7-2, 4-6-2 Northeast-10) on the afternoon as Stonehill outshot Pace by a 13-3 margin for the match, including a 7-0 advantage in the opening 45 minutes of play alone. The Setters remain in the chase for a Northeast-10 playoff spot, as Pace has posted 14 points with two league matches remaining.

Stonehill heads to North Andover, Mass. on Tuesday evening to take on Merrimack in a Northeast-10 outing that begins at 7:00 p.m., while Pace travels to Worcester, Mass. on Tuesday afternoon for a Northeast-10 match with Assumption that begins at 3:30 p.m.
