EASTON, Mass.-- Junior Tricia Aulds (Waltham, Mass.) goal in the 60th minute enabled UMass Lowell to rally from a two-goal second half deficit and forge a 2-2 double overtime Northeast-10 Conference womens soccer tie with Stonehill Saturday afternoon at Skyhawk Field.

The visiting River Hawks (11-5-1, 8-4-1 Northeast-10) trailed 2-0 at the break but netted a pair of goals in a 2:47 span midway through the second half, as freshman Grace Larsen (Newburyport, Mass.) converted an Auld feed in the 50th minute to slice UMass Lowells deficit in half before Auld scored on an assist from senior Jody Graham (Billerica, Mass.) to even matters with just under 30 minutes remaining in regulation.

Sophomore Lauren Boyds (Sandwich, Mass.) 10th goal of the season in the 33rd minute on a feed from senior Kate McCarthy (North Easton, Mass.) staked the host Skyhawks (8-3-4, 6-3-4 Northeast-10) to an early 1-0 advantage, and McCarthy then netted her 12th tally of the season just 5:42 later on assists from sophomore Ashley Bourne (Brockton, Mass.) and junior Caitlin Green (Bedford, N.H.) for a 2-0 Stonehill edge at the break, setting up UMass Lowells second half heroics. The Skyhawks outshot the River Hawks by a 7-1 margin in the overtime periods, including a penalty kick attempt by McCarthy late in the first extra session that went just wide.

Sophomore Alex Eckhardt (Marshfield, Mass.) made six saves in goal in Stonehills fourth draw of the season, while freshman Jennifer Cole (Dracut, Mass.) made eight stops for UMass Lowell as the Skyhawks outshot the River Hawks by a 27-15 margin on the day.

Stonehill closes out regular season play on Tuesday evening when the Skyhawks travel to Worcester, Mass. to take on eighth-ranked Assumption in a Northeast-10 outing that begins at 7:00 p.m., as Stonehill stands tied for sixth with Saint Rose in the conference standings. UMass Lowell closes out its regular season slate on Wednesday evening by hosting Saint Michaels in a Northeast-10 match in Lowell, Mass. at 7:00 p.m.
