Eckhardt Named As Northeast-10 Women's Soccer Goalkeeper Of Week After Stellar Performances In Skyhawk Victories Over Saint Rose, Saint Michael's

Stonehill women's soccer standout sophomore netminder Alex Eckhardt was named on Monday as the Northeast-10 Conference Goalkeeper of the Week after posting a pair of stellar performances for the Skyhawks. Eckhardt, a native of Marshfield, Mass., made 14 saves for Head Coach Rolando Lopes's squad on the week, including eight stops in a 2-1 double overtime triumph at 18th-ranked Saint Rose and six saves in a 3-1 victory over Saint Michael's.

Eckhardt posted an 0.95 goals against average and an .875 saves percentage for the week and has been involved in all six Skyhawk decisions in goal to date.

Stonehill, off to its best start in six seasons at 5-0-1 overall and 3-0-1 in Northeast-10 play, travels to Rindge, N.H. on Wednesday afternoon to take on second-ranked Franklin Pierce in a league match at 3:30 p.m.
