NE10 Women's Lacrosse Tournament Seeding Announcement
EASTON, Mass. (April 30, 2019) – Eighth-seeded Stonehill College is set to make its conference record 20th appearance in the Northeast-10 Tournament when it visits top-seeded and No. 1-ranked Le Moyne College for a quarterfinal round matchup at Ted Grant Field on Wednesday at noon.
Admission is $6.00 for adults, $4.00 for children and senior citizens and $1.00 for students from participating teams with valid ID. The game will also be webcast live via 'Phins TV on NE10 Now, with links to the broadcast and live stats also available at stonehillskyhawks.com.
Stonehill (9-8, 6-7 NE10) makes its return to the NE10 Tournament, after a one-year hiatus, having won a record nine NE10 championships in 11 finals appearances. Le Moyne (17-0, 13-0 NE10) is the defending NE10 Tournament champions, having reached the finals four-straight years and seven of its eight NE10 Tournament appearances overall, since joining the league in 2011 after reclassifying from NCAA Division I status. The Dolphins are 39-1 over the last two seasons, having won its first Division II National Championship last spring.
Wednesday will mark the 13th meeting all-time between the two programs, the fourth in postseason play – all of which have been in the NE10 Tournament. Le Moyne holds a 10-2 advantage in the all-time series after posting a 19-2 triumph in the regular season matchup between the two at Grant Field back on March 16. The Dolphins hold a 2-1 edge in the two NE10 Tournament meetings, including an 11-4 semifinal round win in the 2017 semifinals. Le Moyne is 5-0 all-time against Stonehill at home.

Senior Bryanna Fazio led Le Moyne in the regular season matchup between the two with three goals and five assists for eight points, while junior Julia Sardella added five points with four goals and an assist. Junior Jill McIntire and sophomore Olivia Pino scored goals for Stonehill, while junior Bailey Grant made four first half saves.
Stonehill ranks seventh in the NE10 with 12.6 goals per game, featuring six 20-goal scorers and four with 30-plus goals. Head coach Katie Conover's '03 roster doesn't include a single senior, with her young squad featuring six juniors, four sophomores and seven freshmen who have seen starts this spring. The Skyhawks rank eighth in the NE10 with an 11.60 team goals against average and sixth with 13.2 draw controls per game.
Junior Jennifer Wheaton leads Stonehill in scoring with 58 points, including a team-high 30 assists, which ranks seventh in the NE10, to go with 28 goals. She enters tomorrow's quarterfinal two points shy of cracking 100 career points. Sophomore Shannon Hughes has scored a team-high 37 goals to go with three assists for 40 points, while freshman Emma Sullivan has made an immediate impact with 34 goals and eight assists for 42 points, posting 15 caused turnovers, 28 draw controls and 27 ground balls.

Junior Kaity Healey and Pino round out Stonehill's 30-goal scorers. Healey has totaled 32 goals and nine assists for 41 points, while adding a team-high 59 draws, 25 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers, while Pino has contributed 31 goals and seven assists for 38 points. Freshman Kendall Fressle has chipped in 29 goals and four assists for 33 points in her first collegiate season.
Grant has seen the majority of time in the Stonehill goal, posting a 12.73 goals against average and .444 save percentage, with 7.2 saves per game in 725:50 over 17 starts. Sophomore Kaleigh Wright has played 298:31 over 11 appearances, posting an 8.84 GAA and .443 save percentage with 3.2 saves per game. Grant is the Skyhawks all-time saves leader with 348 career stops in 48 games (46 starts), as the only goalkeeper in program history to surpass 300 saves. Sophomore Emily Sharretts keys the Stonehill defense with a team-high 24 caused turnovers, 55 draw controls and 39 ground balls.
Le Moyne, one of just two undefeated programs remaining in Division II women's lacrosse, leads the NE10 in both scoring (16.4 gpg) and scoring defense (5.24 GAA), ranking second nationally for team goals against average. The Dolphins are also second in the NE10 with 15.8 draw controls per game, averaging 9.76 caused turnovers per contest.
Fazio leads Le Moyne in scoring with 80 points, netting 56 goals to go with 24 assists, while collecting 130 draw controls. Junior Sidney Hall leads the Dolphins with 35 assists, scoring 32 goals for 67 points, while sophomore Erin McMullen contributes 42 goals and 16 assists for 58 points. Junior Nicole Delaney adds 45 goals and six assists for 51 points.
Junior Hannah George leads the NE10 with her 5.42 goals against average, posting a .545 save percentage, with 5.7 saves per game in 884:48 over 17 starts.
