EASTON, Mass. (May 8, 2017) – Stonehill College freshmen Bailey Grant (Chelmsford, Massachusetts/Chelmsford) and Jennifer Wheaton (Dartmouth, Massachusetts/Dartmouth) are among 13 women's lacrosse student-athletes selected to the Northeast-10 Conference's All-Rookie Team by the league's 14 head coaches.

Grant, who earned NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week honors on April 10, posted an 8-4 record in the Stonehill goal after assuming the staring duties midway through the season. She appeared in 14 games overall, with the 12 starts, and posted a 9.12 goals against average and .418 save percentage with 6.0 saves per game in 769:43. Grant ranks third among NE10 leaders for GAA and sixth for wins in her first collegiate season. She registered a season-high 11 saves in the Skyhawks 11-7 comeback win at Assumption College on April 5 and added nine stops in a 15-11 victory at Merrimack College on April 26.

Wheaton, named the NE10 Rookie of the Week on May 1, played all 19 games for Stonehill during her freshman season, starting 18, and finished ranked second on the team with 38 points and 34 goals, while dishing out four assists. She ranked second on the team with 42 draw controls, while adding 26 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers. Wheaton scored at least a goal in 17 of Stonehill's 19 games this season, recording 11 multi-goal games, including a season-high six markers in the Skyhawks 18-9 win over No. 11/16 Pace University to clinch home field advantage for the quarterfinals of the NE10 Tournament. She scored at least a goal in 11-straight games to close out the season.

Stonehill, ranked 16th in this week's Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division II poll, wrapped up its season with a 12-7 record overall, including a 10-3 mark in the NE10. The Skyhawks reached the semifinal round of the NE10 Tournament for the 18th time in 19 years and are the lone program to appear in every NE10 women's lacrosse tournament.
