EASTON, Mass. (May 6, 2013) – Stonehill College sophomore goalkeeper Ashley Armstrong (Northborough, Mass./Algonquin Regional) was selected to the Northeast-10 Conference women's lacrosse All-Championship team at the conclusion of the NE-10 Championships at Le Moyne College on Sunday.

Armstrong started both NE-10 Tournament contests for third-seeded Stonehill as the Skyhawks reached the NE-10 semifinals for the 15th straight year in as many NE-10 Tournament appearances in program history. She averaged 6.5 saves per game while playing all 120 minutes in the Skyhawks goal. Armstrong posted five saves in Stonehill's 13-12 first round win over sixth-seeded Saint Anselm College, including a game clinching stop with one second remaining in regulation, at W.B. Mason Stadium on Wednesday night. She added eight saves in Saturday's 11-7 setback to second-seeded and 5th-ranked Adelphi University in the semifinal round, limiting the Panthers to just 1-for-7 on free-position shot attempts.

Armstrong has seen the majority of time in the Stonehill goal this season and has posted a 10.44 goals against average and .404 save percentage while averaging 6.7 saves per game in 1075:05 over 19 games played. She posted a season-high 13 saves at Adelphi on March 30 and has totaled double-figure saves on three occasions. Armstrong has played 655:05 over 12 starts in NE-10 play and has registered an 8.79 GAA and .461 save percentage with 6.8 saves per game.

Armstrong has played 1,691:28 over 32 games in her two seasons at Stonehill with 29 starts and has posted a 10.50 goals against average and .437 save percentage with 7.2 saves per game. Her 127 saves so far this season rank seventh on the program's all-time single season list, while her 230 career saves rank fifth all-time. Armstrong has earned NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll status two semesters at the College.

Stonehill (13-6, 10-2 NE-10), ranked ninth in the most recent Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division II poll, has earned the program's seventh NCAA Tournament bid and will face top-seeded and reigning national champions LIU Post in Brookville, N.Y., on Saturday at noon. The winner advances to the Division II national semifinals, hosted by Stevenson University, in Owings Mills, Md., to face the winner of Saturday's other North Region clash between second-seeded Le Moyne College and third-seeded Adelphi on Saturday, May 18.
