Reilly earns first ever NE-10 Midfielder of the Year Award
Four Skyhawks collect All-Northeast-10 honors
DiRe voted to NE-10 All-Rookie Team
EASTON, Mass. (May 1, 2013) – Four members of the Stonehill College women's lacrosse team, ranked ninth in this week's Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division II poll, have earned All-Northeast-10 Conference honors as selected by the league's 13 head coaches.
Senior All-American Kelsey Reilly (Hingham, Mass./Notre Dame Academy) heads the list of All-Northeast-10 Conference selections for Stonehill by receiving the first ever NE-10 Midfielder of the Year award as well as first team All-Conference honors. Joining Reilly on the All-NE-10 first team is senior Kayla Green (Londonderry, N.H./Londonderry), while senior Heather Sullivan (Andover, Mass./Andover) and junior Katherine McDonough (Westwood, Mass./Westwood) were both named to the second team. Freshman Remi DiRe (Winchester, Mass./Winchester) rounds out the postseason honorees for Stonehill with her selection to the All-Rookie Team.
Reilly, an All-America selection each of the last two seasons, earns All-Northeast-10 first team honors for the third straight year to go with her Midfielder of the Year award. She has started all 17 games for Stonehill this season and is third on the team in scoring with 52 points (12th NE-10) on 36 goals (19th) and 16 assists (15th), while surpassing 100 draw controls for the second straight season with a league-best 102 this year (6th nationally in Division II) to go with 34 ground balls and a team-high 21 caused turnovers (10th NE-10). In 12 NE-10 games, Reilly posted 25 goals and 11 assists for 36 points with 69 draw controls, 21 ground balls and 17 caused turnovers.
Reilly, a two-time IWLCA All-North Region honoree, was a consensus All-America selection her sophomore season and also earned second team honors from synapsesports.com following her junior season. She is the latest of 14 players in program history to surpass 200 career points and the third this season. Reilly has totaled 141 goals and 64 assists for 205 points to go with 296 draw controls, 184 ground balls and 108 caused turnovers in 71 career games played. Her 120 draw controls as a junior shattered the program record.

Green, an IWLCA All-North region honoree as a junior, earns All-Northeast-10 honors for the second-straight year with her first selection to the first team. She leads Stonehill with 59 goals (5th NE-10), including two gamewinners, and 19 assists (7th) for a team-best 78 points (3rd) to go with 17 ground balls, ten draw controls and five caused turnovers. Green has also posted a team-high 54 points and 15 assists in 12 NE-10 games, scoring 39 goals. She is ranked 11th nationally in Division II for goals scored and 16th in scoring. Her 59 goals this season rank ninth on Stonehill's single-season list.
Green, who earned second team All-NE-10 honors as a junior, has also collected NE-10 Academic All-Conference accolades and has received the Saint Thomas Aquinas Medal for having the highest cumulative grade point average on the team twice over her career. She became the 12th player in program history to surpass 200 career points earlier this spring and has now totaled 174 goals and 55 assists for 229 points in 72 career games played. Green now ranks seventh in program history for career goals and sixth for points. She has also earned the Division II ADA Academic Achievement Award two straight years and has been named to both the NE-10 Commissioner's and Athletic Director's honor rolls every semester.
Sullivan earns second team All-Northeast-10 honors for the second straight season for Stonehill. She has started all 16 games she has played this year and is second on the team with 67 points (6th NE-10) and 55 goals (6th), including a team-high three gamewinners, dishing out 12 assists and converting 13-of-23 free-position shots to go with 31 ground balls, 22 draw controls and ten caused turnovers. Sullivan, who ranks 16th nationally for goals scored, has played all 12 NE-10 games and totaled a team-high 40 goals to go with ten assists for 50 points, adding 25 ground balls, 17 draw controls and ten caused turnovers.
Sullivan, who became the 13th 200 point scorer in program history earlier this season, has started 68 of the 70 games she has played over her career and totaled 183 goals and 37 assists for 220 points, adding 112 ground balls, 73 draw controls and 27 caused turnovers. She ranks sixth in program history for goals scored and seventh for points. Sullivan earned NE-10 Player of the Week honors for the first time in her career on April 15.
McDonough earns All-Northeast-10 honors for the first time with her second team selection. She leads a Stonehill defense that ranks fifth in the NE-10 with a 10.24 goals against average and 8.7 caused turnovers per game. McDonough has started all 17 games this season and has totaled 16 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers with nine draw controls.
McDonough has appeared in 41 games over her three year career at Stonehill and totaled 20 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers. The Skyhawks have ranked among the top defensive teams in the NE-10 each season.
DiRe has started all 17 games in her first collegiate season for Stonehill and marks the fifth-straight year a Skyhawk has been named to the All-Rookie team. She has totaled 25 ground balls and caused 11 turnovers this spring with the Skyhawks defense ranking fifth in the NE-10 with a 10.24 goals against average and 8.7 caused turnovers per game.
Stonehill (12-5, 10-2 NE-10), ranked fourth in last week's NCAA Division II East Regional rankings, opens postseason play tonight as it hosts sixth-seeded Saint Anselm College in first round action of the Northeast-10 Tournament at Timothy J. Coughlin Memorial Field at W.B. Mason Stadium at 7 p.m. The winner advances to this weekend's semifinal round, hosted by top-seeded Le Moyne College, to face second-seeded Adelphi University on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
