Worcester, Mass. - Senior Michelle Kelly (Mendham, N.J.) scored three goals in the first five minutes and No. 9 Stonehill registered the game's first 17 goals en route to a 22-2 win over Northeast-10 rival Assumption Wednesday evening at Multi-Sport Stadium.

Kelly finished with a game-high six goals and added an assist to lead the Skyhawks' offensive attack, while classmate Mary Maloney (Great River, N.Y.) added four goals and an assist of her own.

Since Stonehill loss their only game of the season, they have won three straight games and outscored their opponents 68-12. Kelly (14) and Maloney (13) have each outscored the Skyhawks' three opponents combined output over the same span.

Junior Liza Gross (Loudonville, N.Y.) scored all three of her goals in the first half when Stonehill built a 14-0 lead capped by Jackie Ladino's (North Dartmouth, Mass.) free position tally with nine seconds left in the frame.

Things stayed pretty much the same in the final 30 minutes, with the Skyhawks getting goals from Kelly, Maloney and freshman Sarah Galligan (West Newbury, Mass.) within the first five minutes before Assumption finally got on the board with a goal from Shannon Howard.

Two goals apiece from freshman Sam Lynott (East Sachem, N.Y.) and sophomore Kathryn Ford (Brookhaven, N.Y.) ended the scoring for Stonehill and Howard deposited her second score of the night to account for all of the Greyhound scoring.

Senior Justine Ferland (Portsmouth, N.H.) and freshman Kyle Cerutti (Winchester, Mass.) each allowed a goal and made a save in net for the Skyhawks.

Stonehill now 5-1 overall and 5-0 in the Northeast-10, returns to action on Friday when it hosts St. Michael's beginning at 4:00 p.m.
