WEST HAVEN, Conn.-- Sophomore Michelle Kelly (Mendham, N.J.) netted five goals, while junior All-America Kristin Darrell added a hat trick and three assists for six points as fourth-ranked Stonehill remained unbeaten with a 15-10 non-league college women's lacrosse victory over New Haven Thursday afternoon at Dodds Stadium.

The visiting Skyhawks (5-0) forged a 6-6 draw at the break after the host Chargers (2-3) had taken a 4-2 edge with 12:22 remaining in the first half, and after the teams traded a pair of goals each in the first 6:37 after intermission, Stonehill took the lead for good with three unanswered tallies, two of which came off the stick of Kelly and the other from freshman Liza Gross (Loudonville, N.Y.), to take an 11-8 advantage with 15:38 remaining. New Haven scored two of the next three goals to trail by a pair (12-10) with just over six minutes to play, but the Skyhawks netted the final three goals of the match to account for the final score, including two more Kelly markers that followed a Gross tally over the final 3:52 of the contest.

Gross finished with four goals and an assist for five points in the win for Stonehill, which also received a pair of markers from sophomore Michelle Salmon (East Islip, N.Y.) and a single tally from freshman Jackie Ladino (North Dartmouth, Mass.). Senior Tracey Hoffman (Nashua, N.H.) and sophomore Mary Maloney (Great River, N.Y.) each added a pair of assists for the winners, who also received a single helper off the stick of freshman Jessie Ragnio (Andover, Mass.).

Sophomore Mallory Ferrandiz (West Sayville, N.Y.) netted four goals in the setback for New Haven, which also received a pair of goals and an assist from sophomore Brigid Brady (Islip Terrace, N.Y.) as well as two goals from freshman Kristine Lambracht (White House Station, N.J.). Sophomore Brianna Kenworthy (Holden, Mass.) and freshman Sarah LeGoff (Manorville, N.Y.) also tallied on the day for the hosts, who also received an assist off the stick of freshman Stephanie Usseglio (Orlando, Fla.).

Junior Amanda McGeachey (Saco, Maine) picked up the win in goal with a five-save effort for Stonehill, while sophomore Alison Wagner (Collingswood, N.J.) made 10 stops in net for New Haven as the Skyhawks outshot the Chargers by a 33-22 margin to pick up their second victory in as many series meetings between the schools.

Stonehill travels to Rockville Centre, N.Y. on Friday afternoon to take on Molloy in a non-league match that begins at 3:30 p.m., while New Haven hosts Merrimack in a non-league outing on Saturday afternoon at Dodds Stadium beginning at Noon.
