SCHENECTADY, N.Y.-- Sophomore All-America Kristin Darrell (West Islip, N.Y.) netted a pair of goals and added three assists for five points as top-ranked Stonehill extended its winning streak to 30 straight matches with a 12-8 non-league college women's lacrosse victory over Siena Thursday afternoon at Frank Bailey Field.

The visiting Skyhawks (3-0), who now own the fifth longest all-divisions winning streak in NCAA history, snapped a 2-2 tie with a pair of late first half goals off the sticks of freshmen Mary Maloney (Great River, N.Y.) and Michelle Salmon (East Islip, N.Y.) to take a 4-2 lead at the break, and Stonehill used markers from Salmon, senior All-America Erin Acone (Bow, N.H.) and freshman Michelle Kelly (Mendham, N.J.) over the first 6:16 of the second half to extend its edge to 7-2. Darrell's two goals, coupled with Acone's second of the day, gave the Skyhawks a 12-5 cushion with just over three minutes remaining before the host Saints (0-5) netted three goals in the final 2:38 to account for the final score.

Acone and Maloney each registered assists to finish with three points on the day for Stonehill, which also received a pair of goals from Kelly as well as a goal and an assist each from Salmon, LaRocco and senior All-America Jenny McGrath (Milton, Mass.) and a single tally off the stick of junior Tracey Hoffman (Nashua, N.H.).

Sophomore Amy Schoonmaker (Simsbury, Conn.) and freshman Stephanie DiMari (Hicksville, N.Y.) each netted a pair of goals in the setback for Siena, which also received a goal and a pair of assists from freshman Ryan Tierney (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) as well as a goal and an assist from junior Michelle Eide (Pearl River, N.Y.). Junior Christina Pampalone (East Northport, N.Y.) and sophomore Kathryn Marcantonio (Schenectady, N.Y.) also recorded single tallies for the Saints on the afternoon.

Senior All-America Lauren Stone (Guilderland, N.Y.) picked up her 28th straight victory in goal for Stonehill with a nine-save effort in goal, while sophomore Bethany Zimmer (Skaneateles, N.Y.) made seven stops in net for Siena as the Saints outshot the Skyhawks by a slim 25-24 margin in the first-ever meeting between the two teams.

Stonehill begins defense of its Northeast-10 Conference title on Tuesday afternoon when the Skyhawks head to Smithfield, R.I. to take on Bryant in a league match that begins at 3:30 p.m., while Siena heads to Binghamton, N.Y. next Thursday afternoon to take on Binghamton in a non-league match that begins at 4:00 p.m.
