EASTON, Mass. – Junior Jenny McGrath (Milton, Mass.) scored five goals and added an assist for six points, while senior All-America Colby Confer (Madison, Conn.) scored four goals and notched an assist for five points to lead top-ranked Stonehill to a 24-1 Northeast-10 Conference women’s lacrosse victory over Franklin Pierce Thursday afternoon at Chieftain Stadium.

Confer became just the second Chieftain in school history to record 200 points in her career, joining former four-time All-America Katie Lambert in that category, while McGrath recorded her second consecutive five-goal game for the host Chieftains (8-0, 4-0 Northeast-10. Freshman Kristin Darrell (West Islip, N.Y.) notched her fifth career hat trick as well for Stonehill, while senior Colette Carpenter (Massapequa, N.Y.) added two goals and four assists for six points for the winners. Freshman Christa LaRocco (West Islip, N.Y.) added two goals and two assists on the afternoon as the Chieftains claimed their 42nd straight Northeast-10 regular season victory and improved to 55-1 all-time in league play.

Stonehill also received two goal efforts from junior All-America Erin Acone (Bow, N.H.) and sophomores Tracey Hoffman (Nashua, N.H.) and Emily Wetmore (Horseheads, N.Y.). Senior Courtney Duggan (Billerica, Mass.) also netted a goal for the hosts, while freshman Katie Gavin (Westwood, Mass.) notched her first collegiate goal. Senior Brenna Newfell (Billerica, Mass.) and junior All-America Kate Sarkissian (Sandwich, Mass.) each recorded an assist on the afternoon for the Chieftains, who posted their 14th consecutive victory for dating back to last April, the second longest winning streak in school history.

Junior Alissa Silverman (Sandwich, Mass.) scored the lone goal of the day for the visiting Ravens (0-8, 0-4 Northeast-10) with a free position shot late in the second half.

Sophomore Kara Conway (Winchester, Mass.) made one save in the first half of action to record the win in goal for Stonehill, while freshman Amanda McGeachey (Saco, Maine) did not make a save in the final 30 minutes of play. Freshman Michaela Sullivan (Arlington, Mass.) made 11 saves in goal for Franklin Pierce, as the Chieftains outshot Franklin Pierce by a 45-6 margin.

Stonehill heads to Manchester, N.H. on Saturday afternoon to take on Southern New Hampshire in a Northeast-10 match-up beginning at 1:00 p.m., while Franklin Pierce returns to action on Saturday to take on Regis (Colo.) in a non-league match in Brookville, N.Y. at 1:00.
