Women's Golf Wraps Up Fall Season at Music City Invitational

Beaulieu posts second-straight 82 to finish 54th overall for Skyhawks

OLD HICKORY, Tenn. (October 23, 2018) -  The Stonehill College women's golf program wrapped up its fall schedule at the Music City Invitational, hosted by Travecca Nazarene University, following second round play on the 5,780-yard, par-72, layout at Old Hickory Country Club today.

Freshman Emma Beaulieu recorded a round of 82 for the second-straight day to finish 54th overall in the field of 103 golfers with a two-day score of 164. She shot five over par on each nine today, recording nine pars throughout her round. Beaulieu posted a 3.13 scoring average on the par-3's at the tournament, finishing one-over-par on the four holes over the two days. Classmate Sloane Van Zanen  followed up her 80 on Monday with a second round 85 to place 56th overall at 165. She carded two more birdies today on the par-five ninth hole and par-five 14th, giving her a program-best two day total with five birdies overall, good for tenth in the field. Van Zanen finished one-over-par on the four par-5s at Old Hickory CC over the two days, for a 5.13 scoring average.

Stonehill finished 18th in the team standings with a 692 score, shooting 346 each day. Defending NCAA Division II National Champions, University of Indianapolis won the team title with a two-day score of 592 (301-291), shooting three-over-par as a team in today's second round to surpass first round leaders Grand Valley State University (297-302=599). The Greyhounds were led by individual medalist Pilar Echeverria, who shot two-under-par 70 each day to win by six strokes at four-under-par (140). The Skyhawks trailed Malone University (321-348=669) by 23 strokes, finishing ahead of Bellarmine University (359-347=706) and Alderson Broaddus University (360-349=709) in the team standings.

Freshman Alexis Annarummo trimmed five strokes off her first round score, posting a round of 84 today to finish at 173 (89-84). She also recorded nine pars over the course of her round. Sophomore Katelyn Jylkka posted a two-day score of 193 (98-95), while junior Jennifer Kornacki finished at 196 (95-101).

Stonehill will announce its spring schedule in the coming weeks.
