Simsbury, Connecticut, sophomore represents Skyhawks in Western Pennsylvania
NORTH EAST, Pa. (April 22, 2018) – Stonehill College sophomore Jennifer Kornacki (Simsbury, Connecticut/Simsbury) represented the women's golf program at the Mercyhurst Spring Invitational, hosted by Mercyhurst University, on the 6,770-yard, par-72 layout at Lake View Country Club on Saturday.
Kornacki posted a round of 110 at the one-day event to finish 45th overall at the tournament. She carded identical 55s on each nine.
Sara Suazo from California University of Pennsylvania won the individual title with an eight-over-par round of 80. Host Mercyhurst won the team title with a score of 338, defeating Gannon University (347) by nine strokes.
Kornacki and Stonehill is back in action today, when it opens the two-day Gannon Spring Invitational at Lake Shore Country Club in Erie, Pennsylvania, at 1 p.m.
