Kornacki Cards Season-Low in Battle at the Beach

Simsbury, Connecticut, sophomore places 27th overall in Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (March 10, 2018) – Stonehill College sophomore Jennifer Kornacki (Simsbury, Connecticut/Simsbury) carded a season-low round of 104 in today's second and final round of the Battle at the Beach, hosted by Alderson Broaddus University, on the 5,951-yard, par-72 layup at The Caravelle Resort.

Kornacki posted a birdie and two pars in completing her career-low round this morning. She finished the two-day event with a score of 213 to place 27th overall while competing as an individual for Stonehill in its inaugural women's golf season. Kornacki completed a round of 109 on day one Friday.

Barton College won the team title with a score of 660 over the two days (333-327), claiming the top two spots on the individual leaderboard. Sydney Turner earned medalist honors with a five-over-par round of 158 (81-77), five strokes better than teammate Clare McMahon's ten-over-par two day score of 163 (81-82).

Stonehill returns to action on Saturday, March 21, when it competes at the Mercyhurst Invitational at Lake View Country Club, in North East, Pennsylvania.
