Women's Golf Closes Out Fall Season

Jylkka leads Skyhawks with 28th place finish in final fall tournament

KEENE, N.H. (October 16, 2017) – Stonehill College closed out its inaugural fall season with second round action of the Franklin Pierce University Fall Invitational, hosted by the 5,923-yard, par-72 layout at Keene Country Club, today.

Freshman Katelyn Jylkka (Portland, Connecticut/East Catholic) wrapped up the two-day event with a score of 188 after carding a 95 today to finish in 28th place overall. She registered another birdie in her round today and her score was near the course average that played nearly two strokes tougher under cold conditions this morning. Sophomore Jennifer Kornacki (Simsbury, Connecticut/Simsbury) posted a two-day score of 234 (113-121), while freshman Francesca Feola (Bellingham, Massachusetts/Bellingham) finished with a 244 (119-125) score.

Host Franklin Pierce won the team title with a 625 (305-320) team score, sweeping the top four positions in the individual standings. Camden Morrison earned medalist honors with her two day score of 149 (75-74).
