Jylkka sits 26th overall after opening round, Feola cards season low score

KEENE, N.H. (October 15, 2017) – Stonehill College opened its final tournament of its inaugural fall season with first round action at the Franklin Pierce University Fall Invitational, hosted by Keene Country Club today.

Freshman Katelyn Jylkka (Portland, Connecticut/East Catholic) again led the way for Stonehill by scoring an opening round 93 on the 5,924-yard, par-72-layout. She carded one birdie in the round and her score was one over the course average of 92.00 for the day. Sophomore Jennifer Kornacki (Simsbury, Connecticut/Simsbury) posted a score of 113 for the first round, while freshman Francesca Feola (Bellingham, Massachusetts/Bellingham) registered a season-low round of 119.

Host Franklin Pierce leads the team standings at the event with a score of 305, 24 strokes better than second place Le Moyne College (329). The Ravens hold the top four positions in the individual standings following the first round, led by Sarah Daley's two-over-par 74.

Stonehill wraps up its fall schedule with the second round of the Franklin Pierce Fall Invitational at 10 a.m.
