EASTON, Mass. (April 3, 2019) – Stonehill College first-year standout Kayla Raymond has been named to the Women's Division II Bulletin All-Freshman Team after her breakout rookie season for the Skyhawks.

Raymond, the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Year and a second team All-NE10 selection, is among ten first-year players named to the publication's All-Freshman team, and the lone East Region representative. In addition to becoming Stonehill's first freshman to earn All-NE10 honors and the program's eighth NE10 Rookie of the Year, Raymond was named to the NE10 All-Rookie Team and earned NE10 Rookie of the Week accolades a program-record nine times this season. She was also selected to the All-Tournament teams for the Stonehill Holiday Classic and NCAA II East Regional.

Raymond finished her freshman season scoring in double-figures in 22 of her 26 games played, including eight games with 20-plus points, netting a season-high 32 points at Merrimack College on February 10. She posted a pair of double-doubles, securing a season-best 11 rebounds twice. Raymond averaged a team-high 16.2 points on 49.3 percent shooting, including 38.7% (41-for-106) from three-point distance, while shooting 79.5% (31-39) from the free-throw line. She also contributed 5.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.8 blocked shots and a steal in 24.2 minutes per game.

Raymond's 420 points this season finished second all-time among freshmen in Stonehill history, behind only Stonehill and NE10 Hall of Famer Sue Patchett, '97, who netted 450 points as a freshman in 1993-94. Raymond ranks eighth among NE10 scoring leaders, 13th in field goal percentage and sixth in three-point field goal percentage and blocks per game.

Stonehill (20-10, 14-7 NE10) finished second in the NE10's Northeast Division this season and earned the program's 25th NCAA Tournament bid, reaching the 20-win mark for the 26th time. The Skyhawks are the only program to appear in all 38 NE10 women's basketball tournaments.
