Faieta earns first team honors for second straight year as unanimous selection
Pelletier and Martin both named to All-NE-10 third team
Northeast-10 Conference Women's Basketball Postseason Honors
EASTON, Mass. (February 26, 2015) – Three members of the Northeast-10 Conference Northeast Division Champion Stonehill College women's basketball program have earned All-Conference honors as selected by the league's 15 head coaches it was announced today.
Senior forward Tori Faieta (Lynn, Massachusetts/Saint Mary's) headlines the Stonehill list as one of two unanimous first team selections in the Conference, marking her second-straight All-Northeast-10 first team honor and the third All-Conference selection of her career. Senior captain Amy Pelletier (Beverly, Massachusetts/Bishop Fenwick) has been named to the All-NE-10 third team for the second straight year, while sophomore guard Kelly Martin (Scituate, Massachusetts/Scituate) receives All-Conference honors for the first time with her spot on the third team. The Skyhawks have three All-Conference picks for the second straight year and gives the program 45 all-time dating back to the Conference's first season in 1981-82.
Faieta is Stonehill's 23rd first team All-Conference selection all-time and Pelletier is the 19th women's basketball player in Skyhawks history to collect multiple All-Conference picks, joining Faieta who accomplished the feat as a junior. In addition to Stonehill's three All-Northeast-10 selections, head coach Trisha Brown has been named the NE-10's Coach of the Year and freshman Samantha Hyslip (Westford, Massachusetts/Westford Academy) earned Rookie of the Year honors as well as a spot on the Conference's All-Rookie Team.
Faieta, who was a second team All-Northeast-10 selection her sophomore year before earning first team honors each of the last two years, has started all 25 games for Stonehill this season and is averaging a double-double with 15.3 points (7th NE-10) and 10.3 rebounds per game (2nd) to go with 1.8 assists and a Conference-high 2.1 blocked shots in 25.9 minutes per game. She is shooting 50.3-percent from the field (8th) for the season and leads the team with 13 double-doubles, having led the team in scoring 11 games and rebounding 21 times.
Faieta, who earned Spalding NE-10 Player of the Week honors three times this season, averaged 14.7 points and 10.0 rebounds per game in Stonehill's 21 NE-10 contests, adding 1.9 assists and 2.3 blocks per game, with a .504 shooting percentage. She scored a career-high 27 points, including her 1,000th career point, in a 69-51 win over Caldwell University on November 15. She ranks 13th in program history with 1,336 career points, while her 205 career blocked shots ranks second all-time and her 836 rebounds fourth in program history. Her 99 career games started ranks third all-time and her .499 field goal percentage fourth. Faieta was named to the NE-10 All-Rookie team as a freshman, earning NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll status five semesters and Athletic Director's Honor Roll one semester.

Pelletier earns All-NE-10 third team honors for the second straight year, having started all 25 games for Stonehill this season. She is averaging 10.4 points in 30.7 minutes per game, shooting 36.8-percent (57-for-155) from three-point range, while converting 75% (24-32) of her free-throw attempts, to go with 3.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game. Pelletier has led the team in scoring four games, including her season-high 20 point totals in wins at LIU Post, on December 31, and Bloomfield College, on January 17. She averaged 9.1 points per game in the Skyhawks 21 NE-10 games this season.
Pelletier, who joined Faieta in the program's 1,000-point club with 18 points in a win over Saint Anselm College on December 10, broke the program's career record with 260 career three-point field goals this season and is currently tied for 20th all-time with 1,180 points in 110 career games played. She set a program record with her 87 three-point field goals as a junior and currently ranks seventh in program history with her .390 career three-point percentage. Pelletier has been recognized for her work in the classroom with NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll status all seven semesters at the College and Athletic Director's Honor Roll six semesters, while receiving the St. Thomas Aquinas Medal for having the highest cumulative grade point average on the team two years.
Martin earns All-Northeast-10 honors for the first time with her third team selection. She has also started all 25 games for Stonehill and is second on the team with 13.4 points per game, shooting 45.2-percent from the field, including a team-high 39.1-percent (25-for-64) from three-point range (7th NE-10), and converting 77.9% (95-122) of her free-throws, to go with 4.3 rebounds, 4.6 assists (6th) and 1.3 steals in a team-high 32.3 minutes per game. Martin has led the Skyhawks in scoring ten games, including a career-high 23 points in wins over Saint Anselm College on December 10, when she dished a career-best ten assists for her first career double-double, and American International College on January 13.
Martin has averaged 14.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.2 steals in NE-10 play this winter, shooting 46-percent from the floor, including 39% (23-59) from beyond the arc, and 78.6% (81-103) from the line. She also earned NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll status for the first time for the fall semester.
Martin has started 25 of 41 games over her two year career for Stonehill, averaging 10.5 points and shooting 46.6-percent from three-point range, with 3.5 assists and four rebounds per game.
Stonehill (22-3, 18-3 NE-10) has won the Northeast-10's Northeast Division Championship and is seeded first for the upcoming NE-10 Tournament which gets underway this weekend. The Skyhawks will host a quarterfinal round clash on Sunday at Merkert Gymnasium at 3 p.m., against the winner of Friday night's first round matchup between Southwest No. 4-seed American International College and Northeast No. 5 Saint Michael's College.
Stonehill is ranked 12th in this week's USA TODAY Sports/Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Division II poll as well as the D2SIDA Top 25 Media Poll. The Skyhawks are ranked No. 2 in both the NCAA Division II East Regional rankings and D2SIDA East Regional poll.
