EASTON, Mass. (March 1, 2013) – Two members of the Stonehill College women's basketball team, ranked 11th in this week's USA TODAY Sports/Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Division II poll, have earned All-Northeast-10 honors as selected by the Conference's 16 head coaches the league announced today.

Junior guard Mary Louise Dixon (Wellesley, Mass./Wellesley) earns All-Northeast-10 honors for the second straight year with her first team selection after being named to the third team as a sophomore. Sophomore Tori Faieta (Lynn, Mass./Saint Mary's), an NE-10 All-Rookie Team selection as a freshman, earns All-Conference honors for the first time with her second team selection. Dixon is the first Stonehill player to earn a first team All-Conference selection since both Kelsey Simonds, '10 and Emily Rousseau, '11 were selected to the first team during the 2009-10 season, also marking the last time a junior (Rousseau) was voted to the first team  and the Skyhawks had two All-NE-10 picks in the same season. Dixon is the 20th first team All-Northeast-10 selection in program history and the 17th player in program history to collect multiple All-Conference honors.

Dixon, who has been named the NE-10 Player of the Week each of the last two weeks, has started all 26 games this season and averaging a team-high 13.8 points (11th NE-10), adding 6.6 rebounds (18th), a team-best 6.1 assists (2nd NE-10 and nationally) and 1.3 steals in 32.9 minutes (15th) per game. She is shooting 44.2-percent from the field and a Conference-leading 85.6% (125-for-146) from the free-throw line (25th nationally) for the year. She has posted three double-doubles, including the third triple-double in program history in a 103-93 win over UMass Lowell on February 13, and has led Stonehill in scoring ten times. Her free-throw percentage currently ranks seventh on the program's single-season list, while her assist average is sixth highest all-time and assist total tied for tenth in program history at Stonehill.

Dixon, an NE-10 All-Rookie team selection as a freshman, enters the postseason 55 points shy of becoming the latest 1,000-point scorer in program history. She has totaled 945 points, 427 rebounds, 382 assists and 136 steals in 91 career games played. Dixon ranks third in program history with her .846 career free-throw percentage, while ranking 11th in assists and her 32.9 career minutes per game average is best in program history.

Dixon's .888 (87-for-98) free-throw percentage as a sophomore ranked third in the NE-10 and is the third-highest single-season average in program history. She set a single-game program record for free-throw percentage by converting all 17 free-throw attempts in her triple-double performance against UMass Lowell in February, while the 17 made free-throw attempts matched the program record for made free-throws in a game. Dixon has earned NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll three semesters at Stonehill, as well as Athletic Director's Honor Roll once.

Faieta has also started all 26 games so far this season for Stonehill and is second on the team in scoring with 12.3 points per game while shooting a team-best 52.3-percent from the field (4th NE-10/23rd nationally) to go with a team-best eight rebounds (10th) and 1.9 blocked shots (2nd) as well as two assists in 27.8 minutes per game. She leads the team with six double-doubles this season, having led the Skyhawks in scoring five times and rebounding on 11 occasions. Faieta's blocked shot average is fifth-highest in program history, while her blocked shot total ranks seventh on the program's single-season list.

Faieta has started 44 of the 53 games she has played over her two seasons at Stonehill. She has totaled 548 points (10.3 ppg), 330 rebounds (6.2 rpg), 96 assists and 90 blocked shots, shooting 49-percent from the field. Faieta's career blocked shot total is tied for fifth all-time in program history, while her 1.7 blocks per game currently ranks second and shooting percentage ninth on the program's career list. She has also earned NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll status each of the last two semesters at the College.
