WELLESLEY, Mass. (December 9, 2010) - Stonehill College freshman guard Mary Louise Dixon (Wellesley, Mass./Wellesley), left, received the Doug Flutie award from Wellesley athletic director John Brown at halftime of the Needham-Wellesley Thanksgiving Day football game at Memorial Field.

Dixon was a three-sport athlete for the Raiders playing soccer, basketball and lacrosse.

The award is given for academic and athletic achievement, as well as leadership.

Dixon has appeared in all ten games so far this season for the Skyhawks, averaging 3.9 points, two rebounds, 1.8 assists and a steal in 22.7 minutes per game off the bench. She matched her season-high with nine points in last night's game at Bentley University, adding three rebounds, two assists and a steal in 24 minutes off the bench.

Stonehill (6-4, 2-4 NE-10) is off for final exams and the holiday season until Wednesday, December 29, when it visits Bloomfield University at 7 p.m.
