EASTON, Mass. (October 6, 2010) - Several members of the Stonehill College women's basketball team were among 40,000 walkers that participated in the 18th annual "Making Strides" Against Breast Cancer Walk" in Boston on Sunday.

Seniors Kristen McWhirter (Melvin Village, N.H./New Hampton Prep) and Amanda Smith (Penacook, N.H./Merrimack Valley), juniors Laura Discenza (Shelton, Conn./Lauralton Hall), Tania Williams (South Setauket, N.Y./Ward-Melville) and Cori O'Kane (Pocasset, Mass./Cardinal Spellman) and sophomores Erika Higginbottom (Millbury, Mass./Worcester Academy) and Anna Griffin (Fairfax, Va./W.T.
