NE-10 champion pole vaulter earns All-New England honors for first time

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (May 13, 2016) – Stonehill College sophomore pole vaulter Anthony Innamorati (Clinton, Massachusetts/Clinton) earned All-New England honors for the first time in his career to headline day one for the Stonehill College men's track and field program at the 2016 New England Outdoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Southern Connecticut State University, at Jess Dow Field today.

Innamorati, the two-time Northeast-10 Conference pole vault champion, earned All-New England honors for the first time in his career with his seventh place finish in the event, when he cleared a program-record matching height of 15-feet, 5-inches. He cleared the personal-best height on his third attempt after eclipsing the first two progressions on the first try. Innamorati matched the program record height set by Luke Byrnes '13 at the 2013 Skyhawk Invitational.

Junior Joe Santo (Newburyport, Massachusetts/Newburyport) finished 13th in the field of 29 runners in the 5000-meter run with an outdoor personal-best time of 15:02.26, good for first among Division II entries in the race. Classmate Daniel Nolan (Chelmsford, Massachusetts/Chelmsford) placed 16th in 15:18.99.
