Indoor Season

2012-13: NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll both semesters. Athletic Director's Honor Roll (Fall Semester). NE-10 Relay of the Week (4x800: 1/28; DMR, 2/12). Competed in the mile in four meets for the Skyhawks. Placed 4th at Joe Donahue Games (1/25/13) with a time of 4:18.35. Finished 3rd at URI Coaches Tribute Invitational (2/2) with a time of 4:16.97. Completed the mile in 4:11.72 at Northeast-10 Championships (2/16), good for 4th in the conference. Finished 27th at New England Championships (2/23) with a time of 4:17.23. Also saw action on the 4x800m relay team, finishing 2nd at Joe Donahue Games (7:59.94).

2011-12: Distance Medley Relay NE-10 Champion. All-Northeast-10 (DMR). NE-10 Track Rookie of the Week (2/13). USTFCCCA East Region (Mile, Distance Medley Relay). Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll. Earned All-America status in the distance medley relay along with teammates Justin Blaszczyk, Patrick Cooney and Sean Hanlon with a 6th place finish at the NCAA Division II National Championships (3/9/10). Helped break the Stonehill school record in the distance medley relay with the same group of teammates at the New England Championships (2/24/12) in a total time of 9:50.33, an automatic NCAA Division II Championships Qualifying time. Captured 1st place honors and All-Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10) honors at the NE-10 Championships (2/18/12) with a 1st place finish in a total time of 10:16.90 along with Blaszczyk, Shawn Cronin and Hanlon. Competed in seven individual races throughout the season for the Skyhawks highlighted by a third place finish in the 800-meter run at the NE-10 Championships in a personal best time of 1:57.07. Earned USTFCCCA All-East Region honors in the one mile run. Posted a time of 4:10.30 for 13th place overall at the New England Championships. Ranked 14th overall in the 1,000-meter run out of 73 competitors at the Boston University Valentine Invitational (2/11/12) with a time of 2:28.93. Finished 7th overall in the 800-meter run (1:57.41) at the Charley Torpey Memorial Invitational (2/4/12).  Placed seventh overall out of 82 competitors in the one mile run at the New Balance Boston Collegiate Indoor Games (1/27/12) in a time of 4:15.83. Ranked second overall in the 1,000-meter run with a time of 2:31.47 at Reggie Poyau Invitational (12/10/11). Finished 3rd overall in his first-ever collegiate race in the one mile run (4:17.54) at the Jay Carisella Invitational (12/3/11).

Outdoor Season

2013: All-New England (1500-meter). Competed in seven meets for the Skyhawks. Placed 2nd in the 5000-meter run at Bridgewater State Bears Invitational (3/23) with a time of 15:19.39. Captured 5th in the 1500m event at Duke Invitational (4/6) with a time of 3:54.35. Captured a victory in 3:58.77 at UMass Invitational (4/13), and a 3rd-place finish at Skyhawk Invitational (4/26). Placed 5th in the 1500m in 3:55.75 at Northeast-10 Championships (5/4). Finished 8th in the 1500m at New England Championships (5/11), the 3:53.81 finish good for All-New England honors and a personal record. Finished 9th in the 800m run at Holy Cross Invitational (4/20) with a time of 1:57.81, and completed the same race in 1:54.47 at NE-10 Championships, good for 8th in the conference and another personal best.

2012: Did not compete during the outdoor season.

High School: 2011 graduate of St. John's High School. Tri-County Leage Most Valuable Player Award winner. School record holder in the one-mile (4:17). Division 1 indoor state mile winner in 2011. Personal bests include 4:17 (one-mile), 2:32 (1,000 meters), 1:58 (800 meters) and 15:44 (5-kilometers). National Honors Society member.

Personal: Born on April 16, 1993 in Paxton, Mass. Son of Joseph and Barbara Zawalich of Paxton, Mass. Has one brother, Tim (17). Lists greatest sports moment as winning the Division 1 indoor mile and winning district cross country meet. Tabs all four major New England sports as his favorite teams and favorite athletes as Rajan Rondo and Josh Beckett. Majoring in biology.
