2012-13:

2011-12: Athletic Director's Honor Roll (Fall Semester). NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll (Fall Semester). Did not compete during the season.

2010-11: Finished 9th overall at the NE-10 championships in the shot put with a throw of 42-6.25. Posted a career best throw of 44-4.75 in the shot put at the University of New Hampshire Tri-Meet placing 6th overall. Placed 24th overall in the weight throw with a toss of 39-8.00 at the Tufts Stampede. Also posted a throw of 39-2.25 in the shot put at the Jay Carisella Invitational.

2009-10 Personal Bests:

Outdoor Season

2013: All-New England (javelin). Participated in the javelin throw in three meets for the Skyhawks. Started his season off with a victory in the event at Skyhawk Invitational (4/26), with a throw of 177-04.00. Bested that mark with a 180-06.00 effort at the Northeast-10 Championships, good for 4th in the conference. Followed that up with a 5th-place finish at New England Championhips, throwing 184-5.00, a season high and good for All-New England Honors.

2012: Competed in two meets for the Skyhawks. Placed 2nd/19 in the javelin (197-7.27) at the UConn Springtime Invitational. Took 1st place out of 9 competitors in the javelin (186-8.00) at the Skyhawk Spring Invitational.

2011: Set a new school record in the javelin with a throw of 196-2.00 (59.79m) on March 26, 2011 at the Bridgewater State University (BSU) Invitational eclipsing Tom Kilby's (Fall River, Mass./BMC Durfee) record of 190 feet which was set on March 28, 2009 at the Bryant University Invitational. Posted five other top-10 finishes in the javelin during the outdoor season including a first place finish at the Skyhawk Invitational with a throw of 179-8.00. Took 2nd place overall at the NE-10 championships with a throw of 183-4.00 in the javelin. Placed 12th overall at New England's in the javelin (179-10.00). Competed four times during the season in the hammer throw with his best performance coming at the UMass Minutemen Invitational (121-2.00). Also posted a 10th place finish overall in the hammer throw at the BSU Invitational with a toss of 34.82m. Placed 11th overall at the NE-10 championships in the shot put with a throw of 39-feet and 10.50-inches. Competed in the discuss once at the Skyhawk Invitational with a throw of 118-6.00.

High School: 2009 graduate of Greenwich High School. Three-year letterwinner for coach Bill Mongovan, serving as captain senior year. Earned All-Conference First Team for shot put, 47'9" and the javelin, 164'4". Two-time MVP.

Personal: Born on August 5, 1991 in Greenwich, Conn. Son of David and Jane Gelcius of Greenwich, Conn. Has one brother, Robert (15). His father, David, played soccer at St. Peters College. Supports the New York Mets. Lists David Wright as favorite athlete.
