Indoor Season

2012-13: Competed in two meets for the Skyhawks. Placed 39th at UMass Boston Invitational (12/1/12) in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.98. Placed 28th at Reggie Poyau Invitational (12/7/12) with a time of 25.62. Placed eighth in the 60m hurdles at UMass Boston Invitational with a time of 9.33, running 9.05 in the preliminaries (7th). In the 55m hurdles, ran 8.42 in the preliminaries and 8.38 in the finals, both for sixth-place finishes.

Outdoor Season

2013: Did not compete in the outdoor season.

High School: 2012 graduate of Holbrook High School. Four-year letterwinner. Earned Team MVP award freshman year. Two year Mayflower League All-Star selection. Received All-District honors sophomore year. Also lettered in football, basketball and baseball. Two year basketball Mayflower League All-Star selection. Received Mayflower League All-Star honors in football and baseball senior year. 2012 Mayflower League champions in basketball, ending with an impressive record of 16-2 overall. 

Personal: Born September 7, 1993, in Stoughton, Mass. Son of Tracey Bittle and Diana Ruidiaz of Holbrook, Mass. Has a brother, Rondell Gates (17), and a sister, Alani Torres (2). Undecided on academic major. Supports the Boston Celtics. Lists LeBron James as a favorite athlete. Chose Stonehill for the great academics.
