Indoor Season

2011-12: All-New England (60m high Hurdles). All-Northeast-10 (55m high hurdles). USTFCCCA East Region (60 Meter Hurdles). Competed in 19 races for the Skyhawks throughout the duration of the season. Provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championships with a second place finish in the 55-meter hurdles at the Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10) Championships (2/18/12) with a time of 7.72-seconds, a new personal best. Finished eighth overall in the 60-meter hurdles at the New England Championships (2/5/12) with a time of 8.27-seconds. Finished first overall in the 55-meter hurdles at the Reggie Poyau Invitational (12/10/11) in 7.90-seconds. Also, ranked 12th overall in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.51-seconds. Ranked fifth overall in the 60-meter hurdles at the Charley Torpey Memorial Invitational (2/4/12) in 8.36-seconds. Finished fourth overall in the 55-meter hurdles at the New Balance Boston Collegiate Indoor Games (1/27/12) with a time of 7.77-seconds. Ranked 11th overall in the 200-meter dash (25.01-seconds) at the University of New Hampshire Tri-Meet (1/21/12).

2010-11: Finished second overall at the NE-10 championships in a personal best time of 7.73 in the 55 meter hurdles. Posted a career best time of 8.46 in the 60 meter hurdles at New England's for an 11th place finish. Also ran the 200 meters at the Reebok Boston Collegiate Indoor Games in a time of 24.49. Ran the 55 meter hurdles four times placing fourth or better at every meet. Finished second in the 55 meter hurdles at the Jay Carisella Invitational in 7.79 seconds. Ran a time of 8.56 in the 60 meter hurdles at the Tufts Stampede for a third place finish overall.

Outdoor Season

2010-11: Ran to a personal best time of 14.68 in the 110 meter high hurdles at New England's for a sixth place finish overall. Finished second at the NE-10 championships in the 110 high hurdles in 15.32. Finished fourth or better in six meets competing in the 110 high hurdles including a first place performace at the Bridgewater State University Invitational in a time of 15.22. Placed 13th overall in the 400 hurdles at the UMass Minutemen Invitational with a time of 1:03.87. Competed in the 200 meter dash at the Bridgewater State University Invitational finishing in 23.60 for a 12th place showing.

High School: 2010 graduate of New Bedford High School. Earned All-America status as a member of the second place shuttle hurdles team at the Nike Indoor Nationals for the Whalers. Conference All-Star selection and Southcoast All-Star team selection in football. Also captained the Whalers football team and earned the Standard Times Leadership Award. Captain and All-Conference selection in track and field. Record holder for New Bedford in the 55 meter hurdles. Big-3 All-Star, All-State and All-New England selections. Gold Academic Award and Honor Roll member. MIAA State record holder in the shuttle hurdlers and New England record holder in the shuttle hurdles.

Personal: Born on January 29, 1992 in Oakland, Calif. Son of Dianna Gomes and William Dixon. His father, William, played football at Grambling State. Majoring in environmental science. Lists hobbies at Stonehill as Activist Club, Residential Assistant and the Lloyd Center Environmental Science Club.
