Skyhawks In Third After First Day of New England Championships

Boston, Mass. - Behind a first place finish from Tyler Guilmette (East Longmeadow, Mass.) in the high jump and an impressive performance from the DMR relay, the Skyhawks are third after the first day of the New England Championships. 

The Stonehill men are in third after the first day, trailing just UConn and New Hampshire. Guilmette had the performance of the day, jumping 22 feet and 9.25 inches to take the crown in the long jump. The Distance Medley Relay team of Daniel Pilz (Newington, Conn.), Steve Comis (Reading, Mass.) Ben Rumery (Dayton, Maine) and Kevin Gill (Brockton, Mass.) fnished in a time of 9:56.43 placing second behind UMass-Lowell. 

Also running well was Max Hoddwells (Wayne, Maine) who made the finals in the 55 meter hurdles and Torrey Price (Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.) who made the finals in the 55 and 200 meter dash.
