Amherst, Mass. -
The Stonehill Skyhawks recorded a ninth place finish at the New England Championships on Saturday in a field filled with littered with Division I, II and III teams behind the performance of senior Torrey Price (Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.).

Stonehill's most impressive performance of the evening came from senior Price who earned All-New England honors with his first place finish in the 200 Meter dash with a school record time of 21.46 seconds, provisionally qualifying him for nationals in the process. Price also finished third in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.68 seconds.

Also earning all New England honors was sophomore Dan Pilz (Newington, Conn.), who took honors in the 3000 meter steeplechase (9:28.34) and fellow classmate Kevin Gill (Brockton, Mass.) who finished sixth in the 1500 (3:52.95).

The ninth place finish was the third highest total for the Division II teams and surpassed the total of such schools as Boston College and Boston University.
