Guilmette Receives NE-10 Honors
Easton, Mass. - Senior Tyler Guilmette (East Longmeadow, Mass.) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Co-Male Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.
The senior earned the award after jumping 22 feet and 9.25 inches to take the crown in the long jump at the New England Championships held last weekend. It is the second time this season he has received the honor.
Senior Torrey Price (Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.) and sophomore Kevin Gill (Brockton, Mass.) were named to the weekly conference honor roll for their efforts in the New England Championships as well.
Price received All-New England Honors after finishing fourth in the 55 meter dash with a time of 6.44. He also took fifth in the 200 meters, finishing in 22.18 seconds. Gill, meanwhile, was a member of DMR relay which finished second by only .17 seconds on Friday and then placed eighth in the one mile run with a time of 4:12.84 on Saturday.
