Boston, Mass. - The Skyhawks had 13 top 10
finishes on Saturday at the Harvard Open. Junior
Torrey Price (Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.) registered
another impressive performance in the Men's 60 Dash claiming a
fourth place finish. Not to be outdone, the women's team
received two top five marks in the 3000 Meter Run from
Kelly O'Toole (Nashua, N.H.) and Jen
Gardynski (Everett, Mass.).
Price started the day with 7.00 time in the 60 Meter Dash
Preliminaries. In the finals, Price claimed fourth place with
a 6.90 running. Senior Tom Woods (Medfield,
Mass.) ran the 400 Meter Dash in 51.87 to take an eighth spot for
the Skyhawks.
In the Men's 1 Mile Run, Kevin Gill (Brockton,
Mass.) finished second with an outstanding time of 4:19.73.
Joe Ryan (Chelmsford, Mass.) and Matt
Rigby (Suffield, Conn.) finished fourth and
14th respectfully.
Senior Dave Metzger (Ellington, Conn.) claimed
another second place finish for the Skyhawks in the Men's 3000
Meter Run. Not far behind were classmates Richard
Gerry (Bow, N.H.) with a time of 8:41.78 and freshman
Nick Campbell (Mansfield, Mass.) at 9:08.32.
In addition to O'Toole and Gardynski's second and fifth place
finishes, the women also received strong performances from
Lindsey Booth (Franklin, Mass.) and Hilary
Curtis (Scarborough, Maine), who finished in the top 10 in
the 800 Meter Run.
Sophomore Katrina Harkins (Derry, N.H.) registered 9.89q in the Preliminary running of the women's 60 Meter Hurdles. She went on to claim 10th place in that same event with 9.90 time.
Both Track & Field teams do not have another meet until January 19th when they will travel to the University of Rhode Island.
