Price Is Right For Skyhawks At George Davis Invite

Lowell, Mass. - Torrey Price and Joe D'Agostino each won events, and several other Stonehill student-athletes had stellar performances at the George Davis Invitational hosted by UMass-Lowell on Saturday afternoon.

Price won the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.75 and teammate Tyler Guilmette was sixth (11.42). Price also posted a fourth place showing in the 200 meters (23.01) and was a member of the 4x100 meter relay that finished second.

D'Agostino, meanwhile recorded a first place nod in the high jump (1.94 meters), while Guilmette had a third place showing in the long jump.

Tom Kilby was second in the javelin (53.56) and both Russell Miranda (third) and Jon Latta (fifth) were top five finishers in the hammer throw.

Dickie Gerry finished third and Mark Pocaro finished ninth in the 800 meters, while David Metzger (fourth) and Kevin Gill (sixth) both had top 10 finishes in the 2 mile run.

The Syhawks are next in action on Saturday when they visit Weaver Track & Field Complex for the Larry Ellis Invitational hosted by Princeton University.
